What is available now?

This page shows the number of eligible patients and the availability of paired measurements at three, six and twelve months. No follow-up group currently meets our minimum of ten people for publishing averages or changes. A count of zero means no eligible paired records were available; it does not mean treatment had no effect.

How are the figures calculated?

  • The cohort uses recorded prescriptions for the injectable products and a confirmed diabetes diagnosis at the starting date, not only a primary diagnosis. Type 1 diabetes, gestational diabetes, suspected diagnoses and self-pay or staff-use records are excluded. Individual prescribing intent has not been reviewed.
  • The starting date is the first prescription found in the stored records for each medicine and person. It may represent continued treatment, including treatment transferred from another clinic, rather than the true treatment start.
  • Only the first prescription series is used, with gaps of no more than 56 days. Observation ends at the last prescription in that series, before a longer gap or a switch to another GLP-1-related medicine. Same-day combination use is not followed. These rules do not establish actual adherence.
  • The baseline is the nearest measurement from 90 days before the first recorded prescription through that date. Follow-up values are selected nearest to days 90, 180 and 365 within windows of days 60–120, 150–210 and 330–400. Ties use the earlier measurement.
  • Only people who have reached the target day by the data cutoff and have both measurements within the observation period are compared. Missing values are not imputed.
  • Weight values use dated clinical records. Conflicting same-day values are excluded, but missing or copied records can still affect the results.

Interpreting and protecting the data

These selected clinic records do not represent all patients or the general population. Other medicines, diet, age and clinical background have not been adjusted for. The figures cannot establish the effect of the medicine alone or which medicine is better.

Names, patient identifiers, individual measurements and individual patient graphs are not published. Exact counts of one to nine and their averages or changes are withheld. Totals or breakdowns that could reveal a small count are also omitted.

This is a published snapshot as of September 8, 2026. It does not update automatically when internal records change.
